Our Story
AHO was born in 2015; the minds and hearts of 3 Mexican women gave life to this beautiful project. Initially, the objective was to build an organization that can re- empower Mexican artisans and entrepreneur women by offering them the possibility to develop their work and create handmade products to offer them online promoting fair and conscious trade.
Time passed and AHO got involved with more projects not only for women but also for men committed to society and the environment.
In 2018 there was an opportunity to work together with a successful Mexican gastronomic project in Spain, AHO’s first boutique was open abroad.« El Deseo Mexican Art Market by AHO»»
«El Deseo» is a gastronomic project that combines modern trends with classic techniques of Mexican cuisine, using original Mexican ingredients and the best of the local products of the zone. Founded by Mexican entrepreneurs who recognize the honor of representing their country abroad and who value their culinary tradition, today, “El Deseo” has more than 10 years serving Mexican food in the beautiful island of Ibiza, Spain.
Since then we have worked on the creation of what today is a beautiful boutique gallery of Mexican handicrafts and brands in Ibiza. A space that opens six months a year, full of magic and Mexican Vibes, promoting artisanal products that merge the ancestral knowledge of Mexican art with contemporary design.
Due to the pandemic in 2020, AHO had to renew and reinvent itself. We are currently launching an online platform so that people in European countries can purchase AHO products and receive them directly at their door.
In AHO, we believe that traditions endure if they are remembered, so our task is to venerate our roots, to carry and share this dream and our art around the world; So we never let it die, just keep on transforming it!
Our Mission is to promote a new way of buying, and to strengthen fair and conscious trade, showing the work done with artisan families in Mexico with whom we want to achieve real collective growth and improve the quality of their living and working conditions. We want to continue growing and finding families, organizations, and allies to walk hand by hand. We are growing and expanding.
